The Hagerman Group teams with Martin-Riley architects-engineers, and EMCOR Construction Services Midwest, to build 2019 Taylor Community Schools Community Center Project

The Hagerman-MartinRiley-ECS Taylor Community School Corporation Progressive Design-Build Team was recently selected as the progressive design-builder for the 2019 Taylor Community Schools Community Center Project in Kokomo, Indiana.

The $4.75 million facility will provide the Taylor Community School Corporation and the Taylor Township community with a much-needed multi-purpose space designed and built to host a variety of school and community activities. Located adjacent to Taylor High School, the project will also providea dedicated and efficient connector between the school and the adjacent annex building.

“Field houses have been a trend in central Indiana, so we’re excited to bring one to our students, their families, and the community,” said Christopher Smith, Ed.S., superintendent, Taylor Community School Corporation. “The Hagerman-MartinRiley-ECS Team is made up of excellent listeners and communicators who, from the very beginning, engaged us in the process of building our future community center.”

“The Hagerman Group is excited about this partnership with our fellow progressive design-build team members and Taylor Community School Corporation,” said Brad Smith, executive vice president, The Hagerman Group. “We look forward to building a great facility for the school corporation and community while providing the best value and greatest use of the local funding being made available for this project.”

The progressive design-build team will maximize the use of existing support amenities and infrastructure while accommodating additional features such as regulation-sized high school basketball courts, a fitness track, striping and equipment for additional athletic events, batting cages, and portable bleachers.

Daniel Rawlins, RA, DBIA, with K2M Design, Inc., is serving as the design criteria developer for the Taylor Community School Corporation.
