FWCS Study Connection

Each week, ten members of our Fort Wayne staff volunteer with Study Connection with students at Washington Elementary, a school with Fort Wayne Community Schools. Each volunteer is paired with a student grades K-5 to help with homework, read, practice math and spelling, and build relationships. We believe it is important to give back to our community. Washington Elementary is not only nearby but is also a recent renovation client. Our staff loves their time with Study Connection!

In April of 2022, staff members volunteered with the City of Fort Wayne’s Great American Cleanup efforts. They cleared trash from two miles of trails along the rivers.

Habitat for Humanity – Women Build

Women Build is a program of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne. We have volunteered to do this multiple times. Hagerman women have had great experiences with this program, and are looking forward to participating in the future.

The program allows women to volunteer for a day and assist with a home build. This includes framing, siding, painting, etc. The homes are then purchased by women in the community who work with Habitat for Humanity to become homeowners. Strong women build strong communities.

Parks Restoration

Every child deserves a place to play free from worry. The Hagerman Group does a lot of work restoring local parks to make sure playgrounds are inviting, clean, safe, and above all – fun!

Individuals from Hagerman volunteered at the IU Health Day Early Learning Center. Along with volunteers from Full Beauty Brands, they helped remove existing infant playground equipment in preparation for new equipment installation.
