Over the last 100 years, four generations of the Hagerman family have put our guiding principles to work: treating clients as equals and providing exceptional value. Based in Indiana, Hagerman works throughout the Midwest and in every corner of the United States. Our goal is to exceed expectations and build relationships for life.
The Hagerman Difference
We aim to surpass your individual and project needs. Nothing is out-of-scope. From site selection through project completion and beyond, our team works with you.
Financial strength. You want a construction partner who will be there for all your needs years after project completion. With 110 years and counting, sound financial management has proven our ability to do so.
Relationship-focused. We will work to earn your trust through transparency and integrity. We build community support, maintain project excitement, and create a highest standard culture.
Exceed expectations. The job isn’t done until we exceed your expectations. Our five-year follow-up consultations are unique in the industry.
Innovative approaches. From drones to virtual reality, Hagerman incorporates new technologies to improve efficiency, advance the construction process, and save you money.
Safety culture. Safety is a priority for every Hagerman employee and subcontractor. Due to Hagerman’s continually improving safety culture, actionable steps to make improvements, extensive pre-planning and training, our 2019 Experience Modification Rating (EMR) is .82, well below the industry average.
Clients for Life
At the Hagerman Group, we realize the importance of relationships. In 1983 we instituted our five-year performance follow-up program. This feedback program tracks client satisfaction for each project every year for five years after its completion. Each year we meet on-site with clients to talk about finished projects, in order to:
- Understand how the facility is performing compared to expectations.
- Fix any problems with the assistance of contractors.
We track performance and collect long-term quality assurance information to improve our work on future projects.
Community and Service
We believe in giving back to the community. Our team members have the option to use part of their work hours to pursue volunteering passions through volunteering. Giving back isn’t just what we do; it’s who we are.
“Hagerman’s planning and scheduling limited the relocation of students and kept our elementary school fully functional. They even involved our students and teachers—making the process a learning experience.”
—Wayne Barker, Former Superintendent, Bluffton-Harrison Metropolitan School District, Bluffton, Indiana
Volunteer work includes everything from local park clean-up outings to helping rebuild homes for those of our community in need. Learn more about our community involvement.
