Established over 80 years ago, CMC Hospital is an independent, not-for-profit, 25-bed community hospital that offers health and wellness services. Hagerman worked on an addition and renovation project for Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Indiana.
The project includes the completion of a 100,000-square-foot addition to replace the existing hospital, demolition of 80,000-square-feet of the existing space, an additional 4,000-square-foot Emergency Room, and 6,000-square-foot renovation to the remainder of the existing Emergency drop off area.
In total, Cameron Memorial Community Hospital has 110,000 SF of new and renovated space.
Medical headwalls were prefabricated off-site and delivered to the job site for improved quality and schedule. Implementation of 3D modeling (BIM) was key to the project’s success.
“The new Cameron Hospital was a multi-year project, including a new hospital building, razing of two existing wings, working on an addition to (and renovation of) an existing third wing, and complete redevelopment of the hospital’s 16-acre site. Throughout the many phases of the project, Hagerman worked closely with hospital staff to maintain ongoing healthcare operations at all times. Also, Hagerman performed their work without a single accident that resulted in a lost time injury to any of the workers on the project. This accomplishment is a tribute to Hagerman’s appreciation of their client’s needs, their coordination skills, and their ability to control the workforce on a daily basis.”
