Q&A with Zuleima Reveles, Project Engineer

Zuleima Reveles joined The Hagerman Group after graduating from Purdue University with a bachelor of science in building construction and a concentration in healthcare construction. Zuleima is currently working on-site at a large, high-profile project in Goshen, Ind.

What made you decide to pursue a career in construction?

My dad always encouraged me to go into construction. He works in construction and has always said how good it feels to drive by a project after it has been completed and know that you helped build it.

What do you enjoy most about working in construction?

I love that no day is the same. Every day in construction brings new challenges and learning opportunities, so it’s hard to get bored!

What do you enjoy most about working at The Hagerman Group?

I enjoy the people I get to work with every day. Everyone has been so open to helping me grow and learn which has been extremely beneficial in my first year as a PE.

How has The Hagerman Group supported your career path?

Hagerman has given me the opportunity to start my career on an amazing hospital project. On the project I am currently working on I will be able to see demolition, new construction, and renovation work which will be an amazing foundation for future projects I work on.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

In my free time, I like to babysit my nephew and niece, but when I am not with them, I like to read and watch true crime shows.

What’s a fun fact that people don’t know about you?

I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie and love to do things like skydiving and bungee jumping.
