Q&A with Elisa Meredith

As a project coordinator for The Hagerman Group, Elisa works closely with project managers and project executives to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets. Elisa worked on-site at Bottleworks until December and is currently wrapping up that project while beginning work on the Plainfield Government Center. Prior to joining The Hagerman Group, Elisa worked for an electrical subcontractor.

What made you decide to pursue a career in construction?

The stability of the construction industry led me to pursue a position with a subcontractor that my husband just so happened to work for. My background was in restaurant management and customer service, and in thinking about the challenges that industry faces today, I’m glad I made the move to construction.

What do you enjoy most about working at The Hagerman Group?

The team environment here ensures that no one becomes just a name or a number.  Everyone’s contributions matter.

How has Hagerman supported your career path?

I had (and still have) a lot to learn about construction, but being able to work on the jobsite with my team on a daily basis really helped me see what my behind-the-scenes work helps to accomplish.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

Pretty much anything outdoors (as long as it’s warm), hanging with my family, reading, and NOT cleaning up after my children!

What’s a fun fact that people don’t know about you?

I am a terrible dancer and singer, but LOVE to have dance parties and rock concerts with my daughters! We even have a disco ball!
