The three-phase renovation of the Australian Adventure included an expanded and remodeled concession building, new restrooms, and dining pavilions. The area was redesigned to look more like a contemporary Australian seaside resort village. Special features include The Reef, a more than 20,000-gallon aquarium, the 50,000 gallon shark aquarium and Stingray Bay. 

Hagerman has provided construction services to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo for nearly 50 years. The areas added or renovated include: New Entry Way; African Journey; Wild Things Gift Shop; Indonesian Rain Forest; Australian Adventure Exhibit; Great Barrier Shark Tank; Sea Lion Exhibit and the Alligator Exhibit.
