Memorable Project

Hagerman’s relationship with the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo dates back nearly three decades. Chris was involved with the African Journey project and it’s special because he played a small part in building a better future which helped the Zoo rank as one of the top ten zoos in the nation! And with five children of his own, Chris appreciates a great family outing.

Favorite Food

Who doesn’t love a good barbecue? Yum, yum, yum!

Having two uncles as carpenters in the building trades, Chris started as a carpenter apprentice and quickly embraced a love for construction. “I had the pleasure of working with a lot of great superintendents who took the time to educate me on every facet of construction,”  he said. Once through the apprenticeship, Chris soon began to run projects as a foreman and then as a superintendent. Chris was then offered a position in the Estimating Department where his field experience has proven to be an invaluable asset. He enjoys the challenge of building the project in his head at an early stage and working with the client to make their vision become a reality. He thoroughly enjoys working with the Hagerman team to provide solutions for clients both financially and in terms of constructability. Outside of the office, Chris loves spending time with his family either camping or doing anything outdoors. In addition to that, he is either coaching or attending one of the many sporting events his kids are involved in.
