William Hagerman arrived from Germany.
William Hagerman and brother-in-law Fredrick Buesching co-found The Buesching-Hagerman Company in Fort Wayne. At inception, the family business provided masonry services throughout Indiana.
Hagerman helped build Fort Wayne’s Lincoln Tower, the tallest building in Indiana until 1954.

William Hagerman’s sons Ted and Pete completed jobs throughout the Midwest after assuming leadership of the rapidly growing company. A focus at that time was on aviation projects to support the war effort, specifically aircraft hangers and terminals. Ted focused on office responsibilities, while Pete was in charge of all field operations.

Bruce Molter was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of The Hagerman Group, Brad Smith was promoted to President of Hagerman, Inc., and Tim Norton was promoted to President of Hagerman Construction Corporation, The Hagerman Group’s masonry company.
The Hagerman Group acquires F.W. Owens Company in Louisville, Kentucky.
