As a company with a strong sense of family and community, we want to ensure that all of our team members and subcontractors return safely home to their own families at the end of the day, and that our sites do not present hazards to surrounding residents and communities. We also understand the value of managing risk for project owners and contractors.
That’s why safety is a central commitment that flows through everything we do — and we have proof that our commitment works. Our EMR, which is based on an annual average of one million self-performance man-hours, is currently 0.66. In addition, our worker safety program has earned independent MICCS certification.
We believe a successful proactive safety program must deliver both education and accountability. Our dedicated Safety Department manages every aspect of our corporate safety policy, including extensive training and overseeing subcontractors on jobsites we manage. Our program includes everything from regular evaluations, luncheons to honor our safest jobsites, jobsite audits, and more — including monthly safety meetings with our management team. After all, experience teaches us that safe projects are ultimately productive and efficient projects.
